Unilift South Wales Ltd have won a contract to supply the UK’s largest specialist manufacturer of uPVC vertical sliding sash windows.
The Swansea based lift truck firm have recently completed delivery on the order to supply Victorian Sliders with 5 new Hyundai fork lift trucks.
Unilift, who specialise in the sale and leasing of fork lift trucks as well as service and repair, have been working with the window manufacturing company for 5 years but this new contract takes the relationship to a new level.
Unilift Managing Director John Summons commented “we have been working with Victorian Sliders for many years and what started as an ad-hoc contract for service and repair has culminated in the delivery of these 5 new counterbalance trucks”.
The order comes at a time of huge growth for the customer, Ammanford based Victorian Sliders, who recently moved to new 100,000 square meter premises in Capel Hendre. The window manufacturing firm, who were previously based in Hendy, moved to the site of the Dewhirst Ladieswear warehouse in Capel Hendre in April this year.
Scott Starky, Director of Victorian Sliders commented “We have been working with Unilift South Wales for a number of years and when we needed to invest in new handling equipment, we knew exactly who to contact”
Although Unilift South Wales had a successful track record of working with Victorian Sliders, it was their knowledge of the forklift truck market place that sealed the deal.
Brendan McCambridge, Director of Victorian Sliders commented “At our new site, we wanted to do everything we could to minimalise our carbon footprint. John and his team introduced us to the Hyundai forklift range and between us we identified the models that met our operational requirements but also ones that had minimal impact on the environment too”.
The order of 5 Hyundai 30D-9 trucks caps off a period of growth for Unilift South Wales who cover the South Wales area from their head office in Swansea and have engineers based in Newport and Milford Haven.
